Axelight
This 3-wheeled solar car is the latest addition and is built by the team of 2023. This new pioneering "droplet" design displayed a beautiful body inspired by the most aerodynamic shape, a natural waterdrop. Axelight is named by the main sponsor, Axelent, which colors are displayed on the exterior of the car. Axelight came in an impressive 7th place in Bridgestone World Solar Challenge 2023. The team received a prize recognizing it being the first car body built with flax fiber in this competition, which is a more sustainable material compared to carbon fiber.
