After several intense days of preparations, JU Solar Team has now successfully passed static scrutineering, qualification (Hot Laps), and dynamic scrutineering ahead of the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge 2025.

On August 19, the team completed static scrutineering. Here, every competing car is thoroughly inspected to ensure compliance with all regulations, covering mechanical and electrical systems, measurements, and even the placement of logos. Only seven members were allowed on the floor, while the rest of the team stood ready to answer questions and defend their work. With only a few minor adjustments, the team passed all requirements – a crucial milestone before moving forward.

On August 23, it was time for qualification, the so-called Hot Laps. JU Solar Team’s driver, Kevin Lundström, completed a lap in 2 minutes, 21 seconds, and 33 hundredths, securing the team 19th position on the starting grid.

Right after the lap, Kevin continued with the dynamic scrutineering, which tests the car’s handling and safety through slalom and braking exercises. The team passed without any issues, proving that the car is both race-ready and safe.
